Summary: This position is responsible for using a variety of hand, power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, fixtures, work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble and disassemble components. Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm. This position might require flexibility to work overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. Location: KRC 4800 Deramus Ave Kansas City, MO 64120 Duties and Responsibilities: /n - Follow detailed assembly/disassembly instructions, processes and procedures /n - Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies /n - Disassembles components by utilizing hand and power tools /n - Cleans and buffs components /n - Wash components in solvent and run parts through parts washer /n - Blowout parts to remove solvent and dirt /n - Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol /n - Make sure that schedules are running exactly as they are listed /n - Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) /n - Turn off equipment when not in use /n - Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment /n - Must be willing to cross train /n - Follow safety protocols and adhere to all PPE requirements /n - Perform other duties as assigned /n /n Minimum Qualifications and requirements: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) /n - High school degree or equivalent preferred /n - Knowledge of basic mechanics, hand tools, and machine testing procedures /n - Preferred: 1 year of experience performing mechanical jobs, assembly and disassembly. /n - Experience with overhead crane is a plus, but not required /n /n Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: /n - /nMust have: Be able to identify & understand use of specific hand, pneumatic and, power tools. /n - /nPreferred: Mechanical training (votech or previous job experience) a plus but not required. /n - /nNice to have: Able to correctly use & read analog & digital measuring devices. Micrometers, indicators, calipers, etc. /n - Basic computer skills are a plus but not required /n - Communication and collaboration skills /n - Problem solving /n - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently in English. /n /n Physical Demands: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The hourly rate for this role is currently $21.50 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
