Development Center (NDC) in St. Joseph, MO is home to dogs and cats
who help us learn, research, and better understand the well-being
of pets and promote the human animal bond. When you join us, you'll
work to ensure our pets have the best quality of care while
participating in cutting edge pet food research. Research that
contributes to innovative, first to market dietary solutions as
well as trusted all life stage pet food. Our center is located near
the metropolitan area of Kansas City, within 30 minutes of the
Kansas City International airport. St. Joseph is a tight-knit,
rural community packed with character, still within commuting
distance to the city thus, providing many residential
opportunities.As a Veterinarian, you will be responsible for daily
operation within veterinary clinic and veterinary health program of
our pets. You will plan, organize and perform all necessary
veterinary procedures to ensure the health and wellbeing of the
pets and procedures as required in nutrition research
protocols.Perform all necessary veterinary procedures to ensure the
health and wellbeing of the pets including documentation of vaccine
records, prophylactic programs, clinical diagnostics, and treatment
documentationKnowledge and compliance of the Animal Welfare Act and
all procedures and protocols within the Nestle R&D Petcare
manualEnsure proper record retention policy is followed in
accordance with the Animal Welfare ActPerform procedures as
required under nutritional research protocolsProvide additional
training to vets and pet care staff for appropriate pet
careRequirementsDoctor in Veterinary Medicine degreeValid
veterinary license for the State of Missouri or the ability to
obtain the license1+ years of professional veterinary
experienceOtherUSDA accreditation is preferred1+ years of
experience in a veterinary research environment is preferredThe
approximate pay range for this position is $119,000.00 to
$150,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good
faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final
compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to
background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic
