Were looking for a Sales Representative to support our customers across the Portland area. Reporting to our District Sales Manager in our Higher Education Sales organization, the Sales Representative will be responsible for driving digital product sales across our Portland customer base.

How can you make an impact?

Sales Representatives at McGraw Hill must have strong digital skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies. You will be successful if you can work in a dynamic and complex environment and possess an entrepreneurial spirit.

What you will be doing:

Growing the business and maximizing the sales of our solutions by travelling and visiting, sometimes daily, to our Higher Education customers.

Building strong relationships with school leadership, Deans, Provosts, and at times, school owners, professors, faculty, and administrators becoming their trusted advisor for higher education content and continuously identifying new publishing opportunities to cultivate partnerships.

Collaborating with college bookstores/business offices and developing relationships with employees.

Working with Editorial and Marketing departments to leverage products and develop new sales tools.

Working with Sales Managers to ensure alignment with sales strategy.

Utilizing our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system Salesforce.com to develop and maintain territory pipeline from prospect to close.

Leveraging McGraw Hills existing customer base to grow digital users and increase market share in new course area to reach and exceed established sales goals for the assigned territory.

Were looking for someone with:

Bachelor's Degree.

Evidence of being a high achiever with track record of success.

Some sales experience, especially within the education or publishing sector, would be ideal but if you dont have this and instead, you have the natural drive to succeed and want to be our next Presidents Club attendee, then we want to speak to you.

The ability to collaborate in a team environment, can adapt to change, and can independently problem solve.

Some experience using a CRM tool, with a preference for Salesforce.com or SaleLoft. This would be ideal but not essential.

Superior communication skills, with an ability to adapt to multiple personalities.
