Job Description Job Description Location: Research Medical Center, 2316 E Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64132 Hospital Size: 585 beds | Level I Trauma | Part of HCA Midwest Health (10 hospitals) Position Overview The OR Tech II is an experienced Surgical Technologist capable of confidently assisting in a wide range of surgeries. This role supports General OR functions with rotating weekend requirements and a 3×12 schedule. OR Tech II staff must be competent as first scrub in key specialty areas and maintain strong sterile technique in a fast-paced surgical environment. Shift Options General OR – Mixed Schedule: 3×12s (Rotating Weekends) General OR – Nights: 3×12s (Rotating Weekends) On-Call Requirement: Must live within 30 minutes of the facility. Job Summary As a Surgical Technologist, you will prepare the surgical suite, assist during operations, and collaborate with surgeons and clinical teams to ensure each procedure runs safely and efficiently. This role offers access to advanced surgical technologies, ongoing education, and strong career-growth pathways within HCA. Key Responsibilities Set up and maintain the surgical suite, instruments, supplies, and equipment. Assist with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping. Scrub in and assist during surgeries by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating surgeon needs. Monitor equipment and maintain adherence to sterile technique throughout the procedure. Support room turnover and maintain a clean, efficient surgical environment. Collaborate with RNs, Surgeons, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications 1 years OR Tech experience required Tech II requirement: Must be competent as first scrub in 3 of the following 4 specialties : Robotic Surgery Total Joints Neuro/Spine Vascular Surgery Graduate of an accredited Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT) program CST (NBSTSA) certification preferred BLS (AHA or ARC) required upon hire Compensation & Incentives Differentials: Nights: $3/hr Weekends: $3/hr On-Call Pay: $3/hr Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 Company Description LanceSoft is rated as one of the largest staffing firms in the US by SIA.
