Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active
registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. This contract position is for a Registered Nurse to
serve as a general health room nurse within a school district
located in Independence, MO. The nurse will float among multiple
school sites, covering grades PreK through 12th, providing
comprehensive nursing care in various educational settings.
Responsibilities include: - Managing health rooms independently
after a two-week training period alongside an experienced RN -
Attending and supporting students during field trips as needed -
Flexibly covering multiple schools per day across the district -
Charting all health records electronically with proficiency in
technology and multitasking - Adapting to variable schedules
ranging from 7:00 AM2:30 PM to 9:00 AM4:30 PM, depending on school
level and daily needs - Communicating effectively regarding
schedule changes, including adjustments possibly made the morning
of a shift - Providing nursing care for a caseload of students,
responding to health needs across preschool to high school levels
Qualifications: - Active Registered Nurse license in Missouri with
no disciplinary actions (must be verified via Nursys) - Recent
pediatric experience required, preferably from ICU, ER, or school
nursing settings - Comfortable working independently with minimal
supervision - Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
in a fast-paced environment - Flexibility in scheduling and
willingness to cover multiple school sites daily This position
offers 35 to 40 hours per week, with a contract through May 28th,
starting as soon as possible. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom
during the week of March 30th, with a prescreen phone call
