Encompass Medical Group is seeking a full time Mammography Radiographer within Premier Imaging , our Radiology Department, located at our Lee's Summit office. Encompass Medical Group is offering a $500.00 sign-on bonus to ALL new hires who reach the completion of their probationary period AND a $500.00 completion bonus after one full year of service Position Summary: Performs diagnostic radiographic services, provides patient care and assessment. Evaluates images in accordance with professional practice standards. Participates in quality assurance activities and maintains appropriate credentials related to clinical practice. Position Accountabilities: Collects pertinent data about the patient and procedure to provide appropriate imaging services that meet the radiologists standards Confirms patient identification and pregnancy status when appropriate Performs diagnostic radiographic exam using professional judgement and discretion Determines appropriate shielding devices or other accessory equipment Administers first aid or provides life support in emergency situations Monitors the patient’s physical and mental state during the procedure Operates imaging equipment/devices, performs accurate patient positioning, and calculates correct exposure factors Documents patient data, procedures, and relevant information as determined by practice standards Evaluates radiographs for technical image quality Produces additional images as needed to provide appropriate outcome Performs and documents quality assurance activities based on established quality protocols Provides health care services with respect for patient’s dignity and age-specific needs Adheres to accepted standards, policies, and procedures adopted by the profession and regulated by law Maintains patient confidentiality Maintains appropriate credentials, continuing education, and certification related to clinical practice Performs other duties as assigned or requested Job Specifications: Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of Radiologic Technology program accredited by the JCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology) Certification by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Mammography (M) 1 year experience in Mammo preferred Working Conditions/Physical Demands May be required to travel to other offices Lifting, standing, bending, moving patients, supplies and equipment Exposure to radiation, bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, processing chemicals and airborne particles Encompass Medical Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, physical or mental disability, religion, national origin, military service, or any other protected category.
