Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/24/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 24, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU/LTACH position requiring MS/Tele experience within the last year and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications. Details - Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) setting with a high-acuity patient population - Patient population includes post-open heart surgery, cystic fibrosis, vent weaning, pulmonary fibrosis, and high-volume sepsis patients with wounds — ranging from med-surg level to intubated/vented patients - Patient ratio of 1:5 - Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) - Every third weekend required, totaling 8 weekend shifts per contract - Floating required - Self-scheduling - Charting in Epic - Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within a 50-mile radius Requirements - Active MO or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted if in hand prior to start - Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS - Minimum 1 year of RN experience required - MS, Tele, or PCU experience within the last year required - BSN preferred - Two professional references required for consideration - PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration Additional Information - Nurses from the ICU are frequently floated to the LTACH unit due to the higher acuity of the patient population - Free parking on-site - Level II Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center - Only tertiary hospital between Kansas City and Omaha American Traveler Job ID P-678105.
