HCA Healthcare, a leading provider in the healthcare sector, is seeking a dedicated PreOp PACU Nurse PRN to join our compassionate team. This position involves providing critical preoperative and post-anesthesia care to patients in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and the highest standards of patient care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, leveraging HCA Healthcare's extensive resources and facilities to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. Assess patient condition before and after surgery, including monitoring vital signs and administering medication as required. Prepare patients for surgery by reviewing medical histories and ensuring all necessary preoperative steps are taken. Provide post-anesthesia care, helping patients to recover from anesthesia and managing any immediate postoperative symptoms. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families on preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring they are prepared for at-home recovery. Strong patient assessment skills Proficiency in administering medications and managing pain Ability to work collaboratively in a high-stress environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of proper safety protocols and procedures Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification is a plus
