Description Role Summary A high-performing maternal and neonatal
care program in the Overland Park area is recruiting a Women’s
Services Nursing Director to lead operations across a full spectrum
of perinatal services. The department manages 3,500 annual births
and supports complex, high-acuity obstetric and neonatal
populations. This executive-level nursing role carries
responsibility for departmental performance, staffing, quality
outcomes, clinical standards, and regulatory readiness across all
Women’s Services units. Key Functions Direct maternal and neonatal
clinical operations with emphasis on patient safety, regulatory
compliance, and high-acuity readiness. Oversee staffing strategy,
workforce development, performance evaluation, and departmental
communication. Manage budgets, productivity targets, capital
planning, and resource utilization. Guide policy development,
evidence-based practice adoption, and continuous improvement
initiatives. Partner with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams
to advance service line performance and family-centered care.
Support employee engagement, professional growth, and retention
efforts through strong leadership practices. Maintain 24/7
accountability for service delivery and operational integrity.
Qualifications Minimum 5 years of recent leadership experience
(manager/director level) in Women’s Services within a large,
high-acuity setting. Demonstrated oversight of 3,500 births per
year . Nursing degree from an accredited program. Active RN license
(Kansas or Compact). Ability to obtain and sustain BLS
certification. Proven leadership, communication, and organizational
competence. Preferred BSN or higher-level nursing degree. Specialty
certifications in obstetric or neonatal nursing leadership.
