working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Geriatrics/SNF RN in
Kansas City, Missouri, 64111! Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Skilled Nursing Facility Duration:
13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2
years in specialty License: Active nursing license required
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Experience in
skilled nursing and rehabilitation - Familiarity with the charting
system EPIC - Skills in patient assessment and medication
administration Description: Registered Nurse position in a skilled
nursing facility with a focus on providing high-quality care to
patients. The schedule is Friday through Sunday night shifts.
Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Average daily census is 56 patients.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent specialty
experience. Experience in assessment of vital signs and blood
glucose monitoring is required. Skills in insulin administration
and recognizing hypoglycemia/hyperglycemia are necessary.
Experience in colostomy care, urinary tract infection management,
and central line care is preferred. Knowledge of medication
administration routes including intramuscular, oral, and
intravenous is expected. Candidates should be familiar with wound
care and pressure ulcer prevention strategies. Experience in fall
prevention, infection control, and adherence to advanced directives
is a must. The position requires effective communication with
patients and families for teaching and discharge planning.
Candidates will be expected to float within service lines as
needed. COVID-19 vaccination is not required, but flu vaccination
is mandatory with medical or religious exemptions allowed.
References will be required to verify experience and capabilities.
