This contract position is based in Blue Springs, MO, offering a specialized clinical environment focused on complex postoperative patient care within abdominal surgery and trauma specialties. Location: Blue Springs, MOa growing community known for its welcoming atmosphere and convenient access to urban amenities while maintaining a comfortable, suburban lifestyle. Key Responsibilities: - Provide expert nursing care to patients recovering from bariatric, urologic, hepatobiliary, colorectal surgeries, and trauma with abdominal injuries. - Manage complex wound care including serial debridement and Wound Vac changes for necrotizing soft tissue infections. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management. - Float within scope regularly between units and departments to support facility needs. - Uphold patient safety and quality standards of care during 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15). Qualifications & Experience: - Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in stepdown, MS/Tele, or PCU settings. - Active RN license; pending licenses accepted. - Certifications required: BLS and NIH. - Ability to work 8 weekend shifts within each 6-week schedule cycle. - Flexibility to float between units as needed. - Willingness to commit to contract rules including schedule restrictions and guaranteed hours.
