Job Description:

1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. skill set and competency to care for the critically ill 2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) Ventilators, bipaps, ICP monitoring, Ventriculostomies, Swan Ganz catheters/SVO2 catheters, Arterial lines, Chest tubes, temporary,permanent transcutaneous pacemakers, Abdominal pressure monitoring system, EKOS catheters and systems, IABP, Impella. entire system is computerized charting, medication scanning 3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Critical care skill set and competencies to care for patients that require utilization of the equipment used above. Minimum of 2 years, 3 years or greater preferred 4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification, 5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) 12 hours shifts, every third weekend, will never work alone, no call required, holidays as determined by Director 6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) Yes, ICU agency caregivers do float to inpatient units. 7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 21 ICU beds 8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) Typically 1 nurse with 2 patients 9. Dress Code: Refer to Mosaic Life Care dress code standard Name of Position Requirements BLS (AHA) required ACLS required NIHSS required CPI or MOAB - Not required at time of submission, facility will provide training that must be complete within 30 days of start Two years critical care experience required Must be able to float to other inpatient units Does this candidate require time off during the assignment?
