THE OPPORTUNITY:
Due to a pending retirement, Americo is seeking to recruit a Vice
President of Human Resources and Development who will be
responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR plans and
policies to support the company's mission and strategy. The Vice
President will also manage and develop a highly dynamic,
business-facing HR team through the next phase of growth and
change.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Lead, partner with, and influence the business with key HR
decisions and actions related to organizational design, performance
management, talent acquisition, talent development, employee
engagement, employee relations, compensation, payroll, and
benefits.
Provide employee relations management that creates a positive
organizational culture and minimizes risk.
Investigate and resolve employee complaints, issues, and concerns
regarding employment practices. Develop and implement a talent
strategy that supports short-and long-term investments in business
strategies, enterprise initiatives, and the achievement of overall
business objectives.
Work with business leadership to discern the current and future
business needs and evaluate bench strength in critical
positions.
Assist in the administration, management, and implementation of
targeted training programs as required and in collaboration with
our talent development team.
Implement and execute performance management programs and
procedures, including but not limited to performance appraisals and
performance improvement plans.
Partner with the HR Compensation function to gain knowledge of pay
reference points and market data.
Collaborate with the business and the compensation team in the
compensation planning process.
Management and development of a team of Human Resource
professionals.
Cultivate leadership and ethical values in self and others through
modeling and coaching.
As a trusted HR business leader, build relationships with leaders
across the organization(s).
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local
laws and regulations.
Ensure a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
This role will also oversee Facilities Management.EDUCATIONAL AND
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
10 + Human Resource executive leadership experience
Excellent data management and analytical skills with strong
attention to detail
Recruiting, employee relations, compensation planning, and
performance management experience required
Strong people management skills with the ability to communicate
effectively at all levels of the organization
Ability to lead, manage, and thrive through growth and change
Drive for results that are aligned with business needs.
Partners and collaborates well with others across different
teams.
Leads, develops, and supports others.
Sound decision-making that is data-driven; evaluates and weighs
multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of
action.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Well organized, able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment,
potentially managing multiple projects or initiatives
simultaneously.
Bachelor's degree required - Human Resources Management, Business
or related field or equivalent.
SPHR Certification preferred.
