connect. We are seeking an enthusiastic Global Product Manager
within our Lawn and Garden division to join our team in Portland,
Oregon. This role will support lawn and garden equipment/parts
product lines including trimmer lines, lawn mower blades, fuels,
lubricants, and other parts and accessories as developed. About

global-end business segments. What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience managing a multi-faceted hard lines
consumer goods product line.
- A product marketing leader with experience in a multi-national
environment who has excellent oral and written communication,
including strong presentation and business writing skills.
- A strong project owner who knows how to work cross-functionally
and collaboratively through the product development process.
- Demonstrated ability to identify gaps in the marketplace
through competitive analysis and user research and capitalize on
these opportunities by working with R&D teams to develop
solution-based product proposals.
- Experience demonstrating strong leadership for Product Line
Management Teams while maintaining continuity between Sales,
Manufacturing, Engineering and Marketing to maintain
standardization, coordination, and reduce waste.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze pricing models, margins,
and ROI and product line proposal and existing product
opportunities. Advanced Excel user. What you'll do: The Global
Product Manager (GPM) is responsible for resource management,
strategic planning, tactical planning, and execution for a product
portfolio. The GPM strives to become the go-to product expert
within the organization, developing a deep understanding of the
products within the portfolio and competitive products in the
marketplace. Key areas of ownership include developing,
maintaining, and executing a 3-5 year global product road map,
supporting new product launches with Sales and Brand Marketing
teams, leadership on new product development in collaboration with
Engineering and Manufacturing, Sales support on new and existing
products, and championing the voice of the consumer within the
organization. The GPM is expected to develop a detailed
understanding of product pricing, costs, category and product line
profitability. Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management with hard goods
and/or consumer goods industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or engineering or
equivalent experience; Master of Business Administration
- Proven project management skills supporting cross-functional
new product development teams and supplier relationships.
- Passion for and experience with forestry, garden, agriculture,
construction tools or commercial equipment preferred with a
demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
- --Strong strategic skills that provide an exceptional product
delivery. processes, positioning, product strategy and product
