Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1 years
Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Behavior Specialists with
active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification are
sought for a contract position supporting K-12 students in a public
school district in Kansas City, MO. This full school year role
involves working one-on-one with students requiring specialized
behavioral support, including students at the middle and high
school levels. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct behavioral
support to three students, including two high school students and
one sixth grader with a seizure disorder requiring close
supervision. Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
under appropriate supervision. Collaborate closely with school
staff and special education professionals to monitor student
progress. Maintain clear documentation and communication regarding
student needs and interventions. Attend scheduled training and
oversight meetings as required. Qualifications and Experience:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is
required. Experience working as a Behavior Specialist or RBT in a
K-12 school setting preferred. Ability to attentively support
students with diverse behavioral and medical needs. Strong
communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
with educational teams. Must be able to complete school-required
background checks and drug screenings promptly. Schedule and
Location: Position is based in Kansas City, Missouri within a
public school district. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. High school
hours: 7:30 a.m. 3:00 p.m.; middle school hours: 7:00 a.m. 2:30
p.m. Contract length: Current school year, with start as soon as
possible through May 28th. Additional Information: Multiple
openings available for 1:1 support roles. Supervision arrangements
and oversight support will be provided. Candidates will undergo a
brief phone prescreen followed by a short Zoom interview with
district personnel. Qualified candidates who are ready to
