Visit cpkcr.com to learn about the CPKC advantage, our purpose and culture.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:As a Senior Linux Administrator (internally called Specialist, IS Infra Platforms Linux) responsible for Linux operational support, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades and expansion, on-call rotation. In addition, they will provide support to provisioning/operational staff, as well as work closely with the architecture group in design support and validation of new designs and installations.POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:Provide direction and advice pertaining to capacity planningProvide direction and advice pertaining to future installations and designProvide direction to automate and orchestrate future use of Linux environments (Tanium, Orchestrator, automation suites)Configuration management utilizing Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, Desired State Configuration (DSC)Scripting languages (PowerShell, bash, python)POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience10 to 15 years Infrastructure experience1 to 3 years virtual infrastructure experienceKnowledge in the following preferred:Virtualization Technologies using VMware/Nutanix/Hyper V (MS suite)Provide direction and advice pertaining to design and configuration of converged infrastructureCluster experience (SLES, RH would be good)Vcenter or Nutanix toolsStorage Technologies using Dell/EMC and NetappDell/EMC and Netapp replication technologiesProtocols including CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, FCCisco Networking ProductsNetworking technologies including, but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, Routing Protocols, SwitchingCisco UCS ServersVMWare Hypervisor as well as some UCS bare-metal)Knowledge and use of containerization platformsStrong Communications Skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated experience documenting environments, runbooks, etc.Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and automation technologiesInfrastructure as Code platforms: Terraform, Packer, Azure Resource Manager/CloudFormation templatesEnterprise service bus platformsWHAT CPKC HAS TO OFFER:Flexible and competitive benefits packageEmployer Funded Retirement PlanEmployee Share Purchase PlanPerformance Incentive ProgramAnnual Fitness SubsidyPart-time Studies ProgramADDITIONAL INFORMATION:As an employer with North American presence, the possibility does exist that the location of your position may be changed based on organizational requirements.Drug Test Elements:CPKC is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the general public.
